Final Poster Exhibit
Participants spent the final day of the 2016 REU Experience presenting their research to the UHM community. Prof. Ronald Cambra, Assistant Vice Chancellor of the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, gave an opening address, and applauded all the participants for their efforts.
Everyone had their poster ready in time to have it on a board. Well done! Dozens of people from the campus community and elsewhere crowded the open-air exhibition, and every participant met with visitors who wanted to know all the details: What did you do? How did you do it? And what did you find?
Prof. Cambra was impressed by what he saw, and by his interaction with each presenter. It was great to see such a diverse array of styles in the posters, too. A 10-week research experience came to an end, but many of the projects are continuing, and some are already being prepared for publication. Watch this space! The PIs and mentors are proud of what you all did.
