Pacific Tsunami Warning Center
We visited the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center and witnessed the evaluation of a tsunami threat (or lack of threat) following another collapse event at the Kilauea summit.
We joined the Earth Sciences on Planetary Islands REU to visit the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. We learned about the history and evaluation of tsunami warning systems throughout the Pacific. It was an exciting time had by all!
